Project Background

Prysmian Group has been awarded by National Grid Corporation of the Philippines for the scope of design, supply, installation, and commissioning of a submarine power cable link to connect Negros and Panay islands in the Philippines.

Winch Control Configuration

Manual / Synchronization Mode Selector Switch

1) Synchronisation Mode is to operate Fwd 4 winches (Heave / Pay-out) by one joystick and Aft 4 winches (Heave / Pay-out) by one joystick simultaneously

2) This special function will be designed with PLC (programmable logic controller)
